“An International Man of Mystery…without the airfare”
Meet The Functionary-in-Chief
Kit Bruiser Grooves, Municipal Man Music & Media is actually Mark C (a.k.a The Municipal Man of Mystery) and operates out of Toronto, ON.
Mark C is a musician and Youtube creator who plays music and creates Youtube content. Mark is also the creative force behind Kit Bruiser Grooves - creating beats for gigging and practicing musicians who need midi backing beats for their Beat Buddy pedal.
ABOUT Municipal Man Music & Media
Municipal Man launched in 2016 with the e-zine Municipal Man of Mystery in the tradition of critical satire and polemical discourse. During the intervening time between then and now, the Municipal Man studio was set up and soon after audio/ video productions started appearing at Youtube and elsewhere. I believe in fair dealing and forging good relationships, so don’t let the wry comments and lack of corporate polish fool you.
Why “Municipal Man”?
Ok, ok…seeing that you’ve asked. I once joked about being an international man of mystery who couldn’t afford the airfare, so…

Who is Kit Bruiser?
Legendary journeyman tribute band drummer, Kit Bruiser, is an AI-generated caricature and mascot based on Mark C’s conception.
ABOUT Kit Bruiser
Depending on who you ask, Kit bruiser is the sweetest, most lovable, lying degenerate of a never-has-been wanted in 30 countries the music world has ever created. After hearing the life-changing music of Anne Murray, Kit got the Rock ‘n’ Roll itch and started learning drums by tapping rhythms out on the backs of chickens at his parents’ farm outside of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Chased out his home town for “not loving hockey enough”, Kit found his way to the hardscrabble streets of Topeka, Kansas and started playing in the bar there at the weekly open-mic night, through which kit learned every song ever written, and went on to be the go-to drummer for tribute acts all across the continent.
The Next Step
After seeing Kit’s Go Fund Me campaign aimed at raising money for a lawyer to get out jail, (the circumstances of which are protected by an N.D.A), Mark C said to himself, “now here’s a deadbeat I can exploit!” Bail was paid and a beautiful toxically coercive working relationship was born, and Kit couldn’t be happier.
